Mechanism

One loop, running without you.

A message arrives. The agent reads the project's own files to recall where things stood, does the work, writes back what changed, and replies. Nothing is held in a session that can be lost: the files are the memory, so the next run starts cold and still knows everything.

Principles

Three commitments, in order.

A thin shell, a capable core

Code handles mail, files and safety. Every judgement belongs to the model. We write neither the thinking nor ask the model to be the plumbing.

State in files, not sessions

Continuity comes from documents on disk. That makes an agent restartable, portable and cheap to back up. You can read its memory in a text editor.

Safety in code, not prompts

Who may talk to it, who it may write to, what it may touch: checks in the program. An instruction can be talked around. A check cannot.
